MJÖLNIR RULES APPROVED
New rules regarding restrictions on gatherings because of Covid-19 came into effect last Friday August 14th, and are valid until midnight on Thursday August 27th. As before, the limitation on the number of large gatherings is limited to 100 adults. According to the new announcement, however, the rules social distancing in sports have been expanded, but it says e.g. that “contact between athletes are allowed during training and competitions. However, the two-meter rule must be respected in changing rooms and other areas outside competition and training.“
According to this, grappling (BJJ) exercises can can start again but Mjölnir needed to get rules about them approved by the ministry before we could start. Our rules have now been appoved so we will start exercises in BJJ, MMA and Kickboxing again tomorrow, August 21st. The maximum number will be 30 people per class and all practitioners must register in time online to take up space. We also encourage practitioners to take a shower at home so that there is as little traffic around the locker room as possible.
The government will then reassess the need for restrictions as the material becomes available.
